Our Homecare Workers are fully trained to deliver a high standard of care, and they are vetted before commencing work.
A thorough interview is conducted after which, 2 satisfactory written references are obtained from previous or current employers or somebody known to the applicant in a professional capacity.

An enhanced Data Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau) is obtained for all staff.

Upon commencing work, Homecare Workers are subject to regular supervision, monitoring and have regular appraisals for their Care Practice and training needs.

All Homecare Workers are encouraged to train for and obtain a recognised Social Care qualification.

Prior to commencing work, Homecare Workers must attend an Induction Programme which will introduce them to the organisation, aims and objectives, policies and procedures.

Homecare Workers receive training in mandatory subjects e.g. food hygiene, safeguarding, health & safety, moving and handling, administration of medication and cross infection, at regular intervals.


Homecare Workers will also receive training in Dementia Care, Mental Health and relevant information in connection with Deprivation of Liberty.

Homecare Workers are issued with the Company’s laminated identification badge that carries a photograph of the homecare worker on it – Homecare Workers should show the Service User this identification.

In the event that the Service User is concerned about the identification presented to them, the Service User must contact our office immediately.

Our staff normally work independently and for that reason, Hope Homecare provides a comprehensive framework for supervision that supports staff in their roles, enabling them to work confidently anywhere they are deployed.
