Our team is experienced in all aspects of dementia care
All of our team is trained in supporting people with dementia and Alzheimer’s and understands the characteristics of the illness and how to deal with changing needs.
Many of our care workers have years of experience in supporting people with varying levels of dementia within the NHS.
Our support includes plenty of stimulating activities, simple exercises and encouraging social interaction.
We understand triggers, the importance of routines and ways to make our clients calm and comfortable.
We have experience of dealing with dementia medications and dealing with NHS at home dementia reviews.
We know how dementia can disrupt sleep and cause restlessness at night for some, so we offer waking night shifts to support and comfort those who need extra reassurance.
Having access to a team of carers with the specific knowledge, training and experience to deal with the unique complexities of dementia care gives both the client and their family the peace of mind that they’re in good hands.
We’re here to support people and families to live their lives as fully and independently as possible. This means creating situations where people are stimulated, engaged, and given the opportunity to communicate and find joy in their day-to-day life.
We recognise that every person is unique. Dementia can affect us all in different ways, so by working together with clients and their families, we gain a deeper understanding of how we can support and empower you all to live richer, happier lives from home.
Safe moving and handling practices are crucial in all care settings to prevent injury to both clients and staff. Our staff are trained in techniques for assisting individuals with mobility needs, including hoist use.
Our care teams are trained to safely administer medication, including controlled drugs, insulin, and specialist medications, following strict protocols and CQC guidelines.
We are experienced in supporting our clients at GP and hospital appointments to review medication and how they are coping and we can also organise transport.
